We are currently looking for a General Manager to join our awesome team of Crew Members
at our Pride of Muskoka location in Orillia. Reporting to the Director of Sales the General
Manager is responsible for ensuring customers always receive a premium service
experience and ensuring all customer expectations are met by overseeing our day-to-day
operations. As a leader, our General Managers emulate our mission, vision and values and
possess a strong work ethic.
Job Duties
Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
Ensure the effectiveness of employees through strategic hiring, assignment of duties, discipline, and dismissal
Ensure employees have clear goals and are aware of expectations
Plan and conduct meetings with employees to communicate sales targets, goals, and projects
Ensure all sales employees maintain a high level of product and service knowledge on an ongoing basis
Celebrate successes and foster an atmosphere of success
Administer disciplinary action in accordance with established procedures
Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Handle customer concerns, disputes and issues in a professional, courteous and timely manner
Model and champion the company's dedication to providing excellent customer service
Work with Service Manager to ensure Service achieves goals
Manage fuel dock, ensure cleanliness of all grounds and facilities
Must comply with Health and Safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures
Job Requirements
Pleasure Craft Operator Card
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Three years of experience in a management role and five years of experience in a related industry
Degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the industry an asset
Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on mentoring and motivation of employees
A well defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
Work Conditions
Regular overtime including evenings and weekends during peak season
Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large
Occasional travel
Able to work in variable work environments/conditions
